★★★★★“We rented two cars from Victoria and both cars were fine with no issues. The shuttle bus to and from the airport was okay, although the driver seemed to be in a mad rush. He became visibly annoyed and shouted at a customer who tried to close the door manually, despite there being a button to operate it. The staff at the office were incredibly rude and unpleasant, and we were made to feel like a nuisance. When we asked to register an additional driver, the staff member was huffing and eye-rolling at the inconvenience of having to get up and fetch a piece of paper. At every opportunity, members of staff would turn to each other to snigger about something in Spanish. On returning the car, we were made to wait around 20 minutes while they inspected the vehicle to make sure it was in the same condition. They also wanted to see the fuel receipt so they could work out how many miles we had driven since refuelling. The whole process felt unnecessarily suspicious, as though they were looking for any excuse to find something to charge us for. The cars themselves were fine, but the customer service and overall experience left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t bother using Victoria again.”
★★★★★“Very impressed with the service provided. Easy pick up from the airport, drop off to the office within 10 min. Polite and professional staff. We had the pleasure and surprise to be given a brand new car. Needless to say ,car was in showroom condition. On return, very quick transfer to the airport and the fuel deposit has been refunded within 24 hours. Highly recommended!”
★★★★★“I had a very good experience with Victoria Cars at Alicante Airport. The car was new, clean, and in good condition. Both pick-up and drop-off were quick, smooth, and without any unnecessary questions. The fuel deposit was also refunded very quickly, almost on the same day. A couple of small notes for future customers, not complaints: - Revolut cards may not be accepted by default, so it is better to have another card or some cash just in case. In my case, the staff were kind enough to accept my Revolut card, which I really appreciated. - Also, it was not immediately obvious to me where to find the shuttle. You need to go down to level -2, where the hotel and other shuttles are, and then go to parking spot 47, straight ahead from the exit downstairs. Overall, I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend.”
★★★★★“The Pros...The car was good, looked great! It drove well, it was clean. Pick up was quick and smooth. A shuttle bus was sent to take us to the site to pick up the car. The person on reception was kind and friendly, very patient in showing me around the car and all the pre-existing minor damages and he encouraged me to take photo which I have always done and video for all my car rentals. Drop off was great again, friendly staff, very quick and we were again taken to the airport by shuttle bus. The cons...the site is a good distance from the airport further than other rentals I've used so factor that into your journey especially to return the car, roads are dark and many twisty...daylight return is best. The reception gave the constant hard sell for extra insurance, scare tactics by noting over and over the things that were NOT covered including roadside ASSISTANCE and costs to help you if the car broke down and you were stranded.... something I think the car rental should be responsible for...its their car!! He wrote it down on the document to emphasise it. I've been driving in Spain for more than 20 years and have external cover so I wasn't phased but I can see how it would scare others. I didn't get the car I wanted...a Fiat Panda which is less petrol and easier to park... the Seat Ibiza I received instead a saloon, was too low in the seat so hurt my back and the reverse gear was difficult to find. It wasn't a nice car to drive and bigger than the car I chose. I managed, as I drive an SUV at home but parking in Spain is so limited I prefer a smaller car there. With hindsight I should have asked for another car but I was tired so.... Personally I've not used them before and I probably wont use Victoria Rental again, but it's cheap car is clean and they work...who knows?”
